Interesting Thoughts

Found this to be very interesting and had to share.

Selling to Traditional Publishing May Not Give YOU the Safety and Security Your Looking for in Your Writing Career.

Hmmm....

Check it out.  I'd love to hear more thoughts on this. :)

DWS makes some very good points on both sides. The biggest thing to accept is there is no such thing as 'security' anymore. None. Anywhere.

Like most everything else in Life, it boils down to doing what's best for you and your career. The next few years are going to be extremely interesting in terms of what's going to happen.

I agree with William above that the next few years will be very interesting. I am not a writer looking to publish, just an old lady who likes to write. However, I have a children's book going on in my head and on paper too, so who knows. I guess it is never too late and I have a lot to learn.--Inger

So much about self-publishing, the state of traditional publishing, and what it means to authors lately. It's exciting--and confusing, don't you think?

I'm looking forward to watching new developments this year!

I agree, Will. I think we are going to need seatbelts for this wild and crazy ride! LOL :)

Inger, it's never too late! You are so right. I started writing to save my sanity after my second child was born. Now I could never do without it. :)

It is all that and more, Jill! :) Should be a very interesting year. I hope I can keep up! LOL
